Meet the Team | Real Mums UAE

Megan Al Marzooqi

Owner of Real Mums and Chief Unicorn

Megan is a mum of four boys, aged 2, 7, 9 and 11 and 12 years and even though it’s often chaos in her home, she wouldn’t have it any other way as it means there is never a dull day. Herself and her family have tried and tested many products, activities and experiences over the years, through the different stages of childhood. Megan is passionate about travel, discovering a bargain, affordable family living, organization (essential with a big family!) as well as unicorns and her other greatest love after her family, skincare and beauty products!

Megan is a little bit crazy but every village needs a little crazy!

Jo Wilson

Right Hand Unicorn

Jo is a mum of two beautiful little girls, two dogs, a cat, a hamster and is obsessed with all things fitness and horses. She loves nothing more than a good workout, shopping for a bargain or having a good laugh with loved ones. Jo’s energy is infectious, if you ever come to a Real Mums event, make sure to find her!Jo has been helping to keep the community group running smoothly since it pretty much started, but also does so much more behind the scenes. From helping plan events (and keeping Megan sane / grounded during the process), to packing gift bags and driving around Dubai picking up and dropping off Real Mums goodies. She is simply amazing.

Rosemary Elmes

Wise Village Elder

Rosemary is actually Megan’s own mum! She is the mother of two adult children, and is also a proud Grandmother as well, not only is she a wealth of knowledge but is also one of the kindest people you will ever meet. Rosemary spends her time between Chiang Mai in Thailand and Megan’s family home in the UAE. She is passionate about scrapbooking, art quilting, watercolour painting and teaching her grandchildren in her special way. She has recently retired from teaching and has a lot more time on her hands so has been brought on board to help with the running of the Facebook group, if you have applied to join the group in 2020, chances are, you have been vetted by her!
